Avatars are considered one of the most powerful creatures in the world of Spellfire. These cards represent the gods of the Spellfire card game. Each normally requires other cards to be sacrificed (discarded) in order to bring them into play. They can be of any champion type. Only one Avatar per pool is allowed.
Avatars must be brought into play under all the conditions listed on the individual cards
An Avatar is a champion of exceedingly high level and high power. These champions have conditions that must be met before they can be brought into play. Each player can include a "free" Avatar in their deck (level doesn't count to the total levels). For deck construction purposes, it is still considered a single card. Avatars are not allowed in a 25-card deck due to the low count of cards.
Avatars may only be brought into play during phase 3 of a player's turn. Avatars must also be brought into play under all the conditions listed on the individual cards every time they are brought in. Here are a few examples of how it works:
Discard 2 insects to play Hive Mother Avatar
The Hive Mother is a female Psionicist Avatar champion of the Insect race. You must discard 2 Insects to play Hive Mother. It can be any champions or allies of the Insect race. For example, Bomber Bug Monster champion and Flea Ally can be discarded to play Hive Mother. All insect champions "in pool" come to aid Hive Mother in battle as allies. If lost - the Hive Mother is discarded, other Insects go back to the pool.
Discard 3 champions of any type to play Saneb Avatar
Saneb is a male Thief Avatar champion of the Bloodborn race. Discard 3 champions of any type to bring Saneb. He can mimic the special powers of any champion "in play" (Avatars excluded) until the end of the next turn. Saneb is also a Shapeshifter. During phase 3, Shapeshifters can fully transform into a different form. The new form is psionic, who can not cast spells, and use unarmed combat cards. Magical items and artifacts melt into a new form. They are sent to limbo until the shapeshifter transforms to its original form. Shapeshifters can change form once per turn, which means they cannot return to the same form within the same turn. Upon death, shapeshifters revert to their original form.
A demon and a dragon must be discarded to play Demon Dragon Avatar
Demon Dragon is a male Monster Avatar champion who belongs to two races - Demon and Dragon. A Demon and a Dragon champions of any type or Allies must be discarded to play Demon Dragon. For example, discard Loch ness Wizard champion and Demon Dog Ally to brig up Demon Dragon. He can use allies from the Abyss. Used allies go to the void.
Super Rare, Epic, or Legendary cards can be found only in the booster packs
Avatars are pretty scarce in the Spellfire world. There are no Avatar champions on Common and Uncommon cards. Avatar cards can be Rare, Super Rare, Epic, or Legendary. Super Rare, Epic, or Legendary cards can be found only in the booster packs. Try your luck NOW!
