Psionicist

Legend has it that a serious disagreement once broke out between the Wizards, which later even escalated into a war. One group of wizards titled themselves Psionicists because they considered themselves to be the pioneers of Psionic powers. In this write-up, I'll showcase my three favorite Psionicist champions.

Psionicists are able to use psionic power cards that is either offensive or defensive

Any race can have its own Psionicists. This champion type is able to use psionic power cards as part of its icon ability. Among many different powers available in the world of Spellfire, psionic powers are the ones that have an interesting story that is passed down from generation to generation. Psionicists may also have a special power that is either offensive or defensive (see individual card entries) that can be negated by the special powers of other cards. Psionicists can also use allies, magical items, artifacts of the same world, and other cards (such as spells) depending on their special powers.

#1 Jonin can use Hero Unarmed Combat Cards and Exclusive Magical Items

Jonin stands as my top choice among Psionicist champions. He is a Human Ninja who is able to use Hero Unarmed Combat Cards and Exclusive Magical Items. His best friends, Chunin and Genin cannot resist helping Jonin in the battle as allies, who do not lose icon abilities, they can be taken from the opposing players' pools as well. The Ninja can attack twice in a battle. If the first defender loses the battle and the Realm is razed, the ninja can attack the second Realm of the same player, and support cards are discarded before the second attack.

#2 Psychic Mantis is Co-op and allows one to see the Opponent's Hand during Battle

Psychic Mantis is my runner-up choice for Psionicist champion. He is an Insect Co-op from the Worshippers cult. Champions and allies designated as insects gain bonuses or penalties based on other cards' special powers. He can bring suitable champions to the battle as secondary champions if the cards art match. If the companion is a different type of champion (ex. Wizard, Hero, etc.), it allows you to use additional support cards, like Wizard Spells, Hero Unarmed Combat Cards and so on. If a worshipper is in a player's pool, an Avatar can be brought into play by discarding an ally instead of a cleric. If 3+ worshippers are in the same pool, an Avatar can be brought into play without discarding any card. If Psychic Mantis joins the battle, no matter offensive or defensive, you can see the opponent's hand. It will help you to make better strategic decisions.

#3 Jail Breaker is Earthwalker and gets a +2 bonus against regents

Jail Breaker is my third pick among Psionicist champions. Jail Breaker is a Troll Earthwalker. The powerful regent imprisoned this troll for several decades, during which he learned to use blood abilities and eventually escaped. His hatred for Regents gives him a +2 bonus against them. Troll champions gain bonuses or penalties based on the powers of other cards. A champion with the earthwalking ability can travel underground to attack any realm in a player's formation. Jail Breaker is very effective against Regent champions; when in battle against them, his power level is raised by two points.
